Bury St Edmunds ‘Murder’ update: Two men released on bail - Post Mortem inconclusive

Police have released two men who were arrested on suspicion of murder following the discovery of a woman’s body, on police bail.

Officers were called by the ambulance service to the home in Anselm Avenue, Bury St Edmunds at 10.20am yesterday and found a dead woman.

A 49-year-old man and a 22-year-old both from Bury were arrested on suspicion of murder.

Both were taken to the Bury Investigation Centre but have since been released on police bail.

They are both due to return on January 9.

Police have also said that a post mortem examination into the woman’s death is inconclusive and further tests will be required to establish her cause of death.

Formal identification of the woman has not yet taken place.

Officers are continuing to carry out inquiries to establish the circumstances leading up to the woman’s death and are asking anyone with information to contact the Joint Norfolk and Suffolk Major Investigation Team on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
