THE Bury St Edmunds Festival would not be complete without its gigs in the Abbey Gardens and, this year, the tribute acts did not disappoint.
Friday drew crowds of families, couples and friends to the beautiful setting where a convincing Robbie Williams act kicked off the night’s entertainment.
Well-known Robbie hits including Millennium, Let Me Entertain You and Angels raised people’s arms and brought them to their feet, as the star of the show mingled with audience members at the front of the gardens.
As the light faded, Abba took to the stage with impressive vocals, bright costumes and pleasing dance routines.
Dancing Queen and Thank You for the Music were included in the repertoire and were a great way to round off an enjoyable, and thankfully dry, evening.
