Bury company wants to help with energy cuts on its doorstep

The boss of a company that says it has saved clients more than £1 million on energy and water bills says it is a pity he has yet to get a Suffolk client.

Mark Sait, chief executive of Bury St Edmunds based SaveMoneyCutCarbon.com, says recent clients have included the Ministry of Defence and major hotel chains.

He says savings clients have made over the company’s three-years are equivalent to taking 2,800 families off the National Grid for a year.

Mr Sait added: “We’re working with companies and organisations up and down the country but it is disappointing that we haven’t yet delivered projects in our home county of Suffolk.

“For instance, it saddens me every time I go past the Parkway car parks and see all those traditional fluorescent lights. Simply swapping those energy-guzzling lights to LED tubes would deliver big savings that could go a long way to supporting other services.”
