The latest thing for tourists in Bury St Edmunds could be a load of bollards.
In Whiting Street, Bury Society and ourburystedmunds BID are testing a new way of guiding visitors around town.
Mark Cordell, the BID chief executive, and Melanie Lesser from the Bury Society thought it would be good to create a Magna Carta Trail round the town.
Melanie said: “I saw some wonderful colourful bollards on a visit to Winchester and felt they would be perfect In Bury St Edmunds. The bollards could be used to guide visitors through the town.”
The test bollards, created by Coastline Graphics in Moreton Hall, show the barons’ shields, Sybil Andrews’ St Edmund tapestry and logos of Bury in Bloom and nearby businesses.
