A BROWNIE group will be tasting the difference after a supermarket giant served up some free cash.
West Row Brownie group were at Mildenhall’s branch of Sainsbury’s on Wednesday to receive a cheque for £280.
Frances Copsey, the group’s Brown Owl, said the money would go towards cooking equipment.
“The girls really enjoy cooking and it’s very generous of Sainsbury’s to give us the money.
“We rely on donations and even though we put on fund-raisers and look for money where we can, we don’t have a lot of spare cash,” she said.
Frances said her group of eight girls, aged seven to 11, would be cooking up healthy food with the newly purchased equipment.
A spokeswoman for Sainsbury’s said the donation was part of their community grants scheme. It targets groups that focus on healthy living and active lifestyles.
The money comes from sales from their Bags For Life.
