The Bishop of St Edmundsbury Nigel Stock has giving his blessing to the East Anglian Air Ambulance.

He visited the charity at Cambridge Airport, accompanied by his chaplain The Reverend Mary Sokanovic, and met with the Charity’s Chief Executive Tim Page.

“I’m really pleased to have been given the opportunity to see how the team operate and have learnt so much about what they do at the scene of an incident which makes such a difference to a patient in their hour of need,” said Bishop Nigel.

“Many people living in the diocese of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich have been affected by the work of the air ambulance and without this team of dedicated individuals, some wouldn’t be here today to tell their story.

“They do an amazing job and I think it is vital that they continue to get local support and I will be encouraging the church to be an advocate for that support.”
