A FOAL named Splat has been wowing equestrian experts and looks to have a great future ahead of her.
Horringer horse breeder Marianne Ames, took her young horses to the British Equestrian Federation (BEF) evaluations, which spot potential stars in dressage, eventing, show-jumping and endurance.
And her youngest foal, Splat, earned the top score of the day – 8.98.
As Splat is only three-months-old, she is being kept at a stud in Reading with her mother, Summers Mist, a retired eventer. Once Splat reaches three-years-old she will be able to compete at a professional level.
“The score reflects a positive career in eventing ahead of her,” said Marianne, who aims to keep her young horses and produce them for eventing.
