A CHARITY helping people with mental ill health has had help from two businesses to smarten up its premises.
A team of a dozen staff from NatWest Suffolk’s business team spent last Thursday at Workwise’s Hospital Road, Bury St Edmunds, offices wielding paint brushes and gardening tools to tidy the place up. The paint was all donated by the builders’ merchants Jewson.
William Stocking, relationship manager for NatWest, said: “Every year we try to do something for a charity to give something back to the community. Workwise is a customer at our Bury St Edmunds branch so I know all about it and the fantastic work it does.”
Over 25 years, Workwise has helped more than 5,000 people with long-term mental ill health back into work, to gain qualifications and to take part in community activities. It works from three sites in Bury.
Val Beresford, Workwise’s chief executive, said: “We are so grateful to both NatWest and Jewson for this fantastic support.”
