A MUSIC gig will provide the starting blocks for a hospice worker’s marathon run next month.
Ben O’Hanlon, from Feltwell, is taking part in this year’s London Marathon on April 17 to raise money for St Nicholas Hospice Care.
And on Friday a bands night will be staged at LP, in Woolhall Street, Bury St Edmunds, to help raise funds.
It will feature Hot Fat, who will be supported by Confortable Strangers and Nick Lowe.
Ben, who works at the hospice as trusts and statutory funding officer, is running his first ever marathon in memory of his grandfather, who was cared for at the hospice.
Ben was travelling in Australia at the time but says he heard many positive stories about the care his grandfather received.
Tickets for the bands night are £5 or £6 on the door. Go to www.lp-bar.co.uk/purchase and sponsor Ben on www.justgiving.com/benohanlon
