The bidding war for dozens of priceless auction prizes has begun with many of the lots in Sir Bobby’s Breakthrough Auction already attracting high bids.
The charity auction, which launched on Saturday, has more than 130 lots up for grabs including sports memorabilia, exciting experiences and luxury prizes.
Bids for Jose Mourinho’s World Coach of the Year trophy have already reached £6,000 with 48 bidders battling it out for the one-of-a-kind item, and Wimbledon Centre Court tickets are at £1,550.
An experience day at FC Barcelona has attracted bids of £3,550 and the chance to go to the PFA awards ceremony is already set to cost the highest bidder more than £1,000.
Organisers of the auction, and a glamorous ball due to be held in Bury St Edmunds on October 20, hope to raise £250,000 for Breakthrough Breast Cancer and the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation.
The auction runs online until October 23 in memory of Sir Bobby Robson and breast cancer fund-raiser, Sally Balch.
