ASDA in Bury St Edmunds wants everyone to be tickled pink about raising money for breast cancer charities.
As well as organising plenty of activities in the Western Way store over two weeks from March 1, its community life champion Michelle Knobbs has set up two events, open to all, outside the store.
On Sunday, March 4, there will be a Zumba for All session from 11am to 12.30am at Bury Leisure Centre, in Beetons Way, for £4 for adults and £2 for children. This can be booked through the leisure centre on 01284 753496.
Michelle is also challenging businesses to put forward seven-a-side football teams for what she hopes will become an annual tournament at the West Suffolk all-weather pitches at King Edward VI School on Sunday March 11. The entry fee is £20 a team and there will be a trophy for the winners.
Aspiring football teams should contact Michelle at Asda on 01284 733500.
Asda’s Tickled Pink has raised £25 million over 15 years nationally for Breast Cancer Care and the Breast Cancer Campaign.
So far this year it has raised almost £3.7 million. The store giant even has a range of pink fund-raising goods from wellies to special pink packs of products from top names like Nestlé and Walkers Crisps.
