A FAMILY-RUN stables has celebrated 10 years of success with a bumper donation to charity.

Apollo Stables, in Lakenheath, started life a decade ago under the stewardship of Emma Chapman and her mother, Bud.

An open day on May 22 to mark the milestone raised £600 for the East Anglian Air Ambulance and Bud said they were ‘blown away’ by people’s generosity.

“As soon as you tell people that the money is going to the air ambulance they are falling over themselves to help out.

“We had a lot of fun on the day and we are delighted to give the money to such a worthy cause,” she said.

A tombola, showjumping and a musical pony ride were on show for visitors.
