Children at Great Whelnetham Primary School used their creativityt and ingenuity to create moveable books containing their own stories which were read to younger pupils in the school.
This was part of a three week project which culminated in World Book Day.
The pupils linked science and literacy in the project as each book had to contain a mechanism of some sort.
Some 23 puils in Year 4 created brightly coloured books which are now on display in the school but each child will be allowed to keep their own book.
Mrs Viv Clements, who organised the project, said: “The younger children in the reception class absolutely loved the books with their bright colours and the older children had a lot of pleasure reading their books to them.”
