Alder Carr Farm is hosting a spooky Halloween event in its ‘Pumpkin Patch’ this week.

The event, which runs until Saturday November 2, includes pumpkin carving, face painting, a bouncy castle, pony rides - and a aerial runway zip-line where kids can whizz along like a witch on a broomstick.

Owner Eleanor Sheldrake said the farm, at Creeting St Mary, had around 4,000 pumpkins ready to be carved.

She said: “We thought we would celebrate the harvest and let the kids have some fun with Halloween this week.

“They can bring their own pumpkin to carve or buy one here and if they come in fancy dress they get a prize.”

Eleanor said the event has been a huge success already.

“Hundreds of people have turned up - we’ve even had to open the overflow car park.”
