An air ambulance was called to treat a man, aged in his late 60s, who suffered back injuries after falling from a ladder in Brandon yesterday.

The Magpas air ambulance attended the incident, in Bury Road, at 3.58pm and a doctor and paramedic provided the man with pain relief before accompanying him by land ambulance to Addenbrooke’s Hospital.

A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service, which sent an ambulance crew and rapid response vehicle, said the man suffered a suspected fracture to his back.
