AN INTREPID walker is marking 90 years of the Royal British Legion with a series of walks.
Adrienne Wakeling, county manager, is taking on a series of 10 nine-mile walks to raise awareness of the Legion’s work.
Last Friday she set off from Lakenheath Royal British Legion branch headed for the Mildenhall branch.
Adrienne said she was delighted to raise awareness for an organisation which has been running since 1921.
“One of the things they did then was to give people a bucket and a ladder and they could start their own business cleaning windows.
“Now we’ve got a website that helps people find training courses and build a CV,” she said.
Adrienne heads to Bacton next, having already walked Bury St Edmunds and Lavenham.
