When Adam Jobling decided to raise money for Cancer Research UK he took over his family kitchen.

Adam, 12, of Chapel Road, West Row, said: “I learned to cook at Mildenhall College Academy, and I’m pretty good at it so I thought, why not do a cake sale? I want to help people who have cancer – I want to help make people better.”

Adam will be holding a cake sale outside his home tomorrow (Friday) from 11am until he sells out of the cakes his mum Joann says he is very good at. (The BFP can vouch for his flapjacks.)

Joann said two of Adam’s grandparents died of cancer before he was born and he has always shown an interest in Cancer research.

She has been helping him build up his ‘stock’ for the day, but says most of the baking is Adam’s. Adam says the chocolate cake has turned out best though he also recommends the Victoria sponge and carrot cake.

Update: Adam raised £244.
