Green-fingered gardeners from Suffolk are tending their beautiful blooms ahead of the prestigious RHS Chelsea Flower Show this week.
Growers from across the county will join competitors from across the world to take part in the famous event, which starts tomorrow.

Brian and Pearl Sulman, from Kingsway Nursery, in Mildenhall, are hoping for another bumper year at the show, run by the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS).

This will be the 21th Chelsea for the couple, who scooped their fourth gold for their pelargonium stand in 2007.

Roger and Theresa Harvey are also hoping their shade-loving plants will bring home a bumper crop of prizes, having won gold for the past two years running.

The couple, who run Harveys Garden Plants, at Great Green, Thurston, are entering the unusual and rare woodland and shade perennials category.

Stunning fuscias will be on display thanks to a team from Potash Nurseries , of Bacton, who won a silver gilt award at last year's competition.

Thomas Hoblyn Garden Design Ltd, of Bardwell, and Garden Art and Design, of Boxted, are other hopefuls keeping their fingers crossed for a fine show.

Details of competitors, stands and winners can be found online at www.rhs.org.uk/chelsea/2008
