TV star Davina McCall, 41, met Chip Somers during her battle to get off drugs 17 years ago.
"Chip was instrumental and always kept an eye out for me, so when he called me and said would I be a patron for Focus 12, I said yes without even thinking about it. It was a no-brainer. It was important to me to give something back," she said.

"My favourite thing about these reunions is seeing people year on year, getting better and better. In particular, when someone says they are four years clean, I hope to see them next year and hear they are five years clean. Some people look completely different as the years go on. Miracles happen here.

"Raising money for Focus is very hard and that is why I champion it. It is a tough nut to crack. But there is no such thing as a hopeless addict. If I had a company I would not think twice about employing a recovering addict as they are very honest and hard working.

"The sad thing is that drugs are everywhere and we have to got to help the people who are addicted."
