Cars attacked in Bury and Woolpit

Cars were targeted on the Moreton Hall estate in Bury St Edmunds during a night-time spree in which seven vehicles were broken into.
Doors and locks on cars in Daisy Avenue, Brayfield Close, Midhurst Close, Markant Close, Emsworth Close, Tassel Road and Snowdrop Close were all attacked.
A laptop computer, a DVD player and satellite navigation systems were all stolen between 8.30pm on Thursday, August 7 and 10.30am the next day.
A suspicious man, described as white, 5ft 8 in tall with short, mousey hair and wearing a dark-coloured top, was challenged outside a house in Daisy Avenue at 4.40am on the Friday, but he ran off towards Cowslip Close with another man who had been inside the car.

Vandals also caused substantial damage after they jumped on the roofs and bonnets of six cars on a forecourt in Old Stowmarket Road, in Woolpit.
The incident happened between 6pm on Thursday, August 7 and 3.30pm the next day. Police are not linking the two attacks.
