Children at Horringer Court Middle School handed over nearly £4,500 to charities at their belated carol concert on Friday at St Mary's Church, in Bury St Edmunds.
A week of fund-raising at the beginning of December, which included fancy dress, orienteering and sponsored wellie throwing raised a total of £4,451.86, which was donated to four charities chosen by pupils.

The heavy snowfall just before Christmas meant the school's carol service had to be postponed, but on Friday they donated cheques to Cancer Research UK, the Meningitis Trust, the Royal National Lifeboat Institute and the Alzheimer's Society.

The service was designed by pupils and featured their own readings and the school's brass quartet.
