Five women will attempt a 100 mile relay in aid of a charity campaign set up in memory of a fitness and swimming instructor.

Becky Jennings, 47, her daughter Chloe, 22, Amanda Martin, 46, Karen Page, 42, and Donna Talbot, 34, will each attempt 20 miles for the challenge which starts and finishes at Moreton Hall Health Club on Saturday June 22.

They are raising funds for the year-long Judith’s 50/50 in tribute to Judith Lindley-Neilson, who worked at the club and died aged 49 last October.

The campaign will split money between her favourite charities WaterAid and the Teenage Cancer Trust.

Becky Jennings, of Norton, said she came up with the idea of the relay while running in the south of France and chose the campaign as she is friends with Ms Lindley-Neilson’s partner Sarah Johnston.

The relay, starting at 4am, will pass through Rougham, Bradfield St Clare, Cockfield, Felsham, Drinkstone, Tostock and Thurston.

During the event a sponsored Zumba will be held at the health club followed by a celebratory disco at 7.30pm.

Tickets for the disco are available from the club and St Edmund Pacers. To sponsor the team contact the club on 01284 704232.
