Michael Jackson fans could get their hands on a signed gold disc at a fund-raising ball next week.
The King of Pop gold disc is among the items up for auction at the masquerade ball on Friday, July 10, which will raise funds for a charity close to its organiser's heart.
Georgia Harvey has organised the masked ball, at Culford Hall, to raise funds for Addenbrooke's Liver Transplant Association (Alta) in memory of her father Barrington Haynes, who received a transplant in 2003.
She said: "Thanks to their wonderful care I was given a further three precious years with my dad, for which I will always be grateful.
"I am really hopeful that the Michael Jackson disc will raise lots of money for the charity."
Tickets cost £25 each for Bury Free Press readers and include Champagne and canapés on arrival, a free game of roulette or blackjack, lawn croquet, Belgian chocolate fountain, cheese and port supper, live music from Cupid's Wish and DJ Phantom.
The auction also includes a signed LP of Pink Floyd's Dark Side of The Moon signed by all band members, a Champagne punt tour for two and more. There will be a prize for the best outfit of two tickets to see The Phantom of The Opera.
The dress code is smart dress - mask and costumes are optional.
Alta provides support for liver transplant patients and their families before, during and after transplantation.
Buy tickets online until Monday. Go to www.eventelephant.com/masqueradeball and use discount code 'Barrington' to qualify for a £5 discount on the £30 ticket price.
