Barton Mills villagers are preparing to take part in a dog show with a difference – all the pooches are made out of recycled material.
The village's annual Scarecrow Festival will be centred around the theme of recycling with everything on display created out of waste.

During the festivities on June 7 and 8, there will be a scarecrow dog show and villagers attended a workshop to start work on their unique creations.

Visitors to the festival will also be able to see the usual display of scarecrows and residents have the chance to win the 'Turn Off' prize, which will be awarded to the person who makes the best piece of art from used items.

For more information, call Lis Brotherton on 01638 713440.
