Hundreds of cannabis plants have been seized by police in a raid at a home in Stonham Aspal.
The discovery was made at a house in The Street, on Friday morning, where 300 cannabis plants and drug making equipment – including fertiliser and heat lamps – were found.
All of the rooms in the three-bedroom house, apart from the kitchen which was used as living quarters, were packed with the cannabis plants and were fixed with lamps to create suitable growing conditions.
The bathroom was also taken over, with barrels of fertiliser and hoses, which would have been used to water and cultivate plants.
A 22-year-old Vietnamese man, Binh Van Tran, of The Street, Stonham Aspal, was arrested on suspicion of producing cannabis. He pleaded guilty to one charge of producing cannabis and one charge of money laundering at Bury St Edmunds Magistrates' Court on Saturday.
He will appear at Ipswich Crown Court for sentencing at a later date.
Police arrived at the property with a warrant at 11am, but they had to wait for electricians to arrive and secure the electricity supply which had been bypassed and was unsafe.
All of the cannabis plants and drug-making equipment were removed from the property. Samples of the drug were taken and the rest was destroyed.
Det Insp David Rutterford, of Suffolk Police, said: "None of the space in the house was wasted and every room, apart from the mattress on the kitchen floor, was used to grow the plants.
"There are more of these set-ups being uncovered and we would urge anyone who suspects drugs are being grown in their community to report it to the police immediately."
