Two teenagers have collected almost £3,000 for charity after completing the London Marathon on Sunday.
Sam Mitchell, 18, of Oxford Close, Mildenhall, and Michael Peachey, 19, of The Green, West Row, both finished the gruelling run in less than five hours.

Their efforts have so far raised about £2,800 for the Children with Leukaemia charity and more is still to come in.

St Mary's Primary School, of which Sam is an ex-pupil, has pledged to donate any money collected by its fund-raising efforts over the past year towards the duo's total.

The school has three pupils currently undergoing treatment for leukaemia.

Sam said: "We both got round but it was really hard. I hit 'the wall' with eight miles to go and Michael had cramp in his legs for the last 10 miles.

"It hurt a lot but you just had to keep going.

"You have to do it to understand, but everyone along the route is supporting you. There was a great atmosphere."
