ONE OF Britain’s top music photographers will help judge a new photography competition for students of West Suffolk College.

Andy Willsher, who won the 2010 NME outstanding contribution to music photography award, will judge the competition launched by The Apex last week.

Entrants can interpret the theme of ‘music’ as they wish and have been offered free gig tickets at The Apex to shoot performers in action.

Entries will be displayed in The Apex’s atrium and winning images will take pride of place in the venue’s meeting rooms. The judging panel, which also includes venue director Tony Doherty, Cllr Sara Mildmay-White and Nathan Terry, head of photography at the college, will pick the winners at the end of October.
