THE Darkness have announced the support for their Thetford Forest gig.
American rock outfit, Black Stone Cherry will warm up fans for the Forestry Commission Live show on July 14.
The Kentucky rockers’ third album, Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea, shot to number one in the UK rock charts last year and has stayed there for 40 weeks.
A Spring tour this year was a complete sell-out.
Tickets for the show are selling well, according to events manager Rachael Miller.
“Will Young, Ed Sheeran and Plan B have sold out and ticket sales remain brisk for Razorlight, Alfie Boe and The Darkness headline shows. I am pleased that we can offer such a diverse range of acts performing in this spectacular forest setting which should appeal to a wide audience,” she said.
The Darkness, whose hits include I Believe in a Thing Called Love and Growing on Me, have recently been confirmed as the main support for Lady Gaga on her forthcoming European tour.
Tickets for the Thetford Forest show are £36 and available from the Forestry Commission Box Office on 03000 680400 or online at www.forestry.gov.uk/music
