A SCHOOL in Bury St Edmunds has been hurtled back to the 1940s for an all-star play.

Moreton Hall Prep School’s sports hall has been transformed into a wartime vicarage for a production of the acclaimed British farce See How They Run.

The show, which runs until Saturday, stars EastEnders actress Lucy Speed, who played Natalie Evans, and Arthur Bostrom, who is best known as Officer Crabtree in the sitcom ’Allo ’Allo.

The comedy sees a group of strangers turn a homely wartime vicarage upside down as a maverick soldier, an escaped POW, a Bishop and a few vicars get tangled up in a case of mistaken identity. It has been produced by the Original Theatre Company, which was founded by Bury resident and former Moreton Hall pupil Alastair Whatley. Tickets are available from the Theatre Royal on (01284) 769505.
