Sheridans marks ten years
This month Sheridans will be celebrating their 10th anniversary.
Tim Sheridan started Sheridan’s in 2002 with the assistance of Claire Simpson Duckworth, after deciding that he fancied a challenge and wanted to take a rather brave move and start out on his own and that’s when Sheridans was conceived.
Being a local businessman and being Bury St Edmunds born and bred, Tim knew a great deal of people and had many contacts and firmly believes that this coupled with his passion and enthusiasm for character homes, was a winning combination.
The first five years Sheridans grew from strength to strength and quickly gained a strong foothold within the Bury property scene.
With recession hitting in 2008, the housing market became extremely volatile and many estate agents found it difficult to continue.
However, Tim and his team “battened down the hatches” and managed to continue through this challenging time and now with the help of Tim’s business partner and fellow director Andrew Speed, have become even stronger than before.
Sheridans occupy premises close to the town centre and together with a dedicated sales team of Matthew Baker, director, Fred Stonehouse and Adrienne Newman and the admin team of Claire Simpson Duckworth and Catherine Hewitt, together with Amanda Sell who successfully monitors on-going sales to exchange, say they are now firmly positioned at the head of the table of estate agents specialising in the sale of character homes.
Despite the somewhat gloomy economic outlook, Sheridans are set to go from strength to strength with the possibility of pursuing other exciting avenues within the property industry.
To further mark the anniversary and to raise money for Sheridans chosen charity for 2012, East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH), Claire Simpson Duckworth will be taking part in a trek to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa during October.
Claire would like to raise as much money as possible for EACH, which supports families and care for children and young people with life-threatening conditions.
Further details of how you can make a donation will appear in Sheridans’ September property adverts on Sheridan’s website.
Tim and all the team would like to pass on their thanks to all past and present customers for their business and support over the past ten years.
