THE second phase of development at a new arts centre has begun after planning permission was granted.
Work on new doors, glass-panel windows created by an artists and an improved fire exit has begun at the former Corn Exchange building in Stowmarket. The building is being converted into an innovative arts centre and rehearsal space named after the late DJ, John Peel.
Funding for this stage of work at the John Peel Centre for Creative Arts has come from the People’s Millions, Mid Suffolk District Council and fund-raising events.
n A re-opening concert event will be held on November 19.
