Discover what life was like for criminals, convicts and felons at the Bishop’s Gaol in Ely in a new exhibition.
The Old Gaol at Ely Museum takes a look into a darker side of the town’s history.
Elie Hughes, museum curator, said: “This is a fascinating and sometimes gruesome part of Ely’s past. Prisoners were kept in awful conditions and sometimes chained to walls.”
The exhibition runs until September 15.
The museum is also running a series of family events including Keep Calm and Carry On on August 15.
