Visitors to Moyse’s Hall Museum will be transported back to the Victorian era this Easter.

From March 30 to April 14, the Bury St Edmunds venue will explore aspects of Victorian life from the mangles and copper possers of a wash day to weights and measures.

On Wednesdyas, museum and staff will host various children’s hands-on workshops such as making Victorian style confectionery and craft activities.

Available through the themed two weeks, visitors can have a go at a ‘guess the Victorian’ quiz and ‘Pot Luck Victorian’, which involves randomly selecting a card depicting a real Bury person from the 1800s to find out how they lived, what they did, their relationship to the museum’s collections and then pitching against one another in Victorian Top Trumps.
