ST Edmundsbury Borough Council has agreed to enter into formal discussions over plans to run the Theatre Royal and The Apex by a single management team.

Councillors at a cabinet meeting on Wednesday agreed that a detailed business case for a joint operating model be prepared for consideration in the autumn.

Cllr John Griffiths, leader of the council, said: “This is about having discussions with the theatre to see if there are any mutual benefits.”
