Tollyfest moves to fresh fields

ORGANISERS of a popular music weekend in Bury St Edmunds are asking people and organisations to come forward to benefit from the event.

The Tollyfest, normally staged in Bury St Edmunds, this year moves to a new venue, The Plough, at Cockfield.

This weekend it will host 12 different bands as well as a range of entertainments for old and young.

There will be a bike ride out on the Sunday from 10am until noon and tattooing from the tattoo bus.

There is also limited camping costing £5 a night but this needs to be pre-booked.

Tomorrow there will be music from Undecided, The Minute Steaks, The Nearly Boys, Lick & A Promise, The Auroroa and Ratzinasack and on Sunday music comes from Nik Lowe, Redhanded, Rox Off, Waxie’s Dargle, Five Ska and The Foolish.

There will be stalls and circus skills and a barbecue with all proceeds going to local charities.

Last year’s Tollyfest raised money to enable twins Megan and Gracie Garwood to enjoy a special holiday and this year organisers want other deserving causes to benefit.

There will also be a special discounted taxi rate from Getaway Cars. The fun kicks off at noon both days.

If you would like to nominate someone or get involved contact Tracy Seymour on 07986 615022.
