Peckover House, Wisbech
Peckover House in Wisbech is an elegant Georgian town house, once occupied by the Quaker banking family who gave their name to the building.
The house boasts one of the finest town gardens in the country, surprisingly large and planted in true Victorian style.
Fine Victorian features can be found at Peckover including an orangery, summerhouses and fernery, plus a perfectly manicured croquet lawn.
The three-story house was originally known as Bank House, due to the private Peckover Bank which traded from the site from 1794 to 1879.

2008 is the 60th anniversary of the National Trust owning the property - in was given to the trust by Alexandrina Peckover who was the daughter of Baron (Lord) Peckover of Wisbech.
Peckover House also has a National Trust shop, plants and secondhand books for sale, a tearoom and 17th century barn available for weddings and other functions.
Admission: 5.50 for adults and 2.75 for children.
Opening times: Peckover House is open March to November from 1.30-4pm (garden and tearoom noon-5pm).
Getting there: It can be found at North Brink, Wisbech, Cambridgeshire, PE13 1JR, on the B1441, west of Wisbech.
