Music dancing and a ride out at Tolly Fest
Tollyfest at The Plough in Cockfield
IT may have rained but music lovers at the Tolly Fest danced in the rain to enjoy a weekend packed full of great music and fund-raising.
This year, the event moved to The Plough and Fleece pub, in Cockfield, and a host of bands provided music on the Saturday and Sunday.
A biking ride out was a feature of Sunday’s entertainments led by an enthusiastic biker with his dog in the sidecar, while circus skills from the Bury St Edmunds Circus Freaks entertained young and old along with a performance of fire eating. Despite Saturday night’s downpour people still danced to the sounds of bands including Ratzinasack and The Nearly Boys while on Sunday night Nik Lowe led more music.
This year’s event has raised £2,100 for local charities and organisers are still looking for people to come forward to benefit. Already they are supporting the Suffolk branch of the Motor Neurone Disease Association
Last year’s Tolly Fest raised money for Gracie and Megan Garwood, who were receiving treatment for leukaemia.

Tracy Seymour, one of the organisers, said: “We’d like to thank the 12 bands who came along and played for free over the two days.”
