Isabella’s flowers are going for gold . . .

A FLORIST has been helping to make the victory bouquets presented to medallists at the Olympics.
Isabella Jones, of Great Barton, was given the opportunity to put together the bouquets while studying at Writtle College, in Chelmsford.
A visit to the college by Rona Wheeldon, columnist for ‘Wedding Flowers’ magazine and ‘The Flower Arranger’, gave some of the floristry students an invitation to volunteer to make the special bouquets.
“It was brilliant, and everyone was excited about doing it,” Ms Jones said of the unique opportunity.
The bouquets were designed by Jane Packer Ltd, and represent an English country garden with a variety of roses, mint, lavender, rosemary and wheat.
Ms Jones has already completed two years at Otley College, and has just finished a level three diploma in floristry at Writtle.
She added: “I first started working at a local village florist, and have been dabbling in floristry for a long time.
“I have only been doing it properly for the last five years.”
