Hotel’s best of five bid
THE Olde Bull Inn, in Barton Mills, has been shortlisted for the title of ‘Best Freehouse 2012’ in the Morning Advertiser’s ‘Great British Pub Awards 2012’.
The hotel is one of five freehouses across the UK in contention for the award.
Cheryl Hickman, owner, said: “We are so proud of the achievement of getting down to the last five in the whole UK. It’s a real testament to our team and customers.”
Over the last three years the freehouse has been restored to include 14 refurbished bedrooms, a 50-seater bar and a 60-seater restaurant.
Just last year it was crowned ‘Best Small Hotel in Suffolk’ at the Suffolk tourism awards.
Judges looked for a freehouse that excelled, was consistent and progressive as well as its food and wine.
