A CHARITY fun run held in Bury St Edmunds has raised more £18,000 for St Nicholas Hospice Care.

Some 149 people took part in the run on Sunday, which was organised by software and training company, Green Duck as part of the Towergate Accumulator Challenge.

The 5km course started and finished at Moreton Hall Prep School, passing through the Abbey Gardens on the way,

Fortunately the rain, which hampered several events on Sunday, held off until the run had been completed.

Event organiser James Ling said they were very pleased with the turnout and the positive feedback they received and are already planning to run the event next year.
