Dickens tale
A SHORT story by Charles Dickens based on a fatal rail crash in Staplehurst, Kent, in 1865 will be performed by Mike Wabe on Sunday, March 4 at 2.30pm.
Dickens and his mistress Ellen Ternan with her mother were on the train but unhurt. The crash was the basis for this ghost story.
The reading is at Moyse’s Hall Museum and tickets for Friends and Heritage ticket holders are £5. Bookings can be made at the museum or by phoning 01284 706183.
