Classic panto gets a twist

PANTOMIME returns to Mildenhall this half-term as a classic tale gets a twist.

The Bunbury Players is following up the success of its Eurobeat, Almost Eurovision production with a new version of Jack and the Beanstalk.

According to director Bobby Mather, unforeseen circumstances meant the show had to be hastily put together.

He said: “Rehearsals started a few weeks later than originally planned due to the hiccup we encountered, but I am really pleased with the way the cast and crew have all come together to produce such a great show.”

The traditional tale is given a modern take with a mix of songs including Tragedy and You Can’t Stop the Beat and slapstick comedy.

The show will be on at the Jubilee Centre from February 14 to February 17. Doors open at 7pm with the show starting at 7.30pm.

Tickets are priced at £7 for adults, £5 for concessions and family tickets – two adults and two concessions – are £22.

Tickets are available from Milpets and Oasis Beauty in Mildenhall or call the box office on 01638 552330 or email bunburyplayers@aol.com
