Bury Festival tickets on sale

PREPARATIONS have been completed for this year’s Bury Festival – as the first tickets for the outdoor events go on sale.

The Festival is being officially launched at an event at The Apex on Thursday, where the full line-up of artists and acts will be revealed.

Tickets for an Abba and Robbie Williams tribute night and for BBC Jazz Vocalist of the year, Clare Teal, go on sale from 10am on Monday.

Festival manager Nick Wells said it had been a frantic time organising the event but that they hadbooked a great group of acts.

He said: “Everything is pretty much in place and all seems to be going very well so far.

“In terms of the Abbey Gardens gigs, the tickets go on sale on Monday.

“It should be an enjoyable and succesful line-up this year.

“The Robbie Williams show is supposed to be absolutely brilliant and the Abba tribute band have been to Bury before and play a lot of tunes we all know and love.

“Clare Teal has been to the festival a few times in the past.

“She should be a really nice show to round off the festival.

“The couple of weeks getting the brochure ready have been manic.

“Getting that prepared is always a bit mad.

“But the programme is ready and I am really pleased with it.

“Hopefully, it will be a great 11 days in May.

“A couple of people have had a sneaky look at the plans and have told me that it is a really strong line-up this year.”

Tickets for the concerts can be bought from The Apex box office, by calling 01284 758000 or by visiting www.buryfestival.co.uk
