A CHARITY skydive has raised £3,500 to support a motorcycle challenge in aid of Help for Heroes being led by former Thetford man Geoff Warren.

Bron Madson, a former Mildenhall Upper School pupil and Anglia Newspapers reporter, took part in the skydive with the Red Devils on July 5 from Langar Airfield and raised £1,300.

She said: “It was pretty scary, but also an amazing experience to jump out of a plane at 12,000ft and go from zero to 120 miles per hour. A big thank you to everyone who supported us.”

Geoff and two former Army friends, Chris Brice and Colin Harker, will travel 6,000 miles from the UK to Dubai on motorbikes, loaned by Triumph. Bron, 46, is a member of the support team. For more, go to www.bmycharity.com/destinationdubai2012
