A LEISURE centre’s £500,000 facelift is nearly complete.

Members of Brandon Leisure Centre will be able to flex their muscles from Monday at the refurbished facility.

The revamp, funded by Forest Heath District Council, includes a cutting edge fitness studio with more than 50 stations, a multi-activity group exercise area and upgraded bar.

Tony Bass, chief executive of building owners Anglia Community Leisure, said the new facilities were there for the community.

“It’s pay and play so people can pay daily, monthly, yearly, whatever suits them.

“We have a normal rate and there’ll be a range of targeted groups that will benefit from cheaper rates, too,” he said.

The new gym will use the state-of-the-art Technogym equipment.
