THE Bury Festival, which begins in less than a month, is celebrating gaining its newest sponsors.
Chartered accounts Lovewell Blake, which opens a new office in Bury St Edmunds this month, has decided to sponsor Bury’s major arts event.
The festival, beginning on May 17, is set to be the biggest ever with a wealth of music, drama, art, dance and comedy.
Festival manager Nick Wells said sponsorship was pivotal to the success of the festival.
He said: “We rely upon our sponsors’ support to ensure that the Festival continues to thrive. This partnership is vital to the success of the Festival and brings an opportunity to be associated with a prestigious arts event.
“We are always delighted to welcome new sponsors.”
Brian Floringer, the partner responsible for Lovewell Blake’s local office, said he was excited to be part of the festival.
He said: “We are
pleased to have this opportunity to support the Bury St Edmunds Festival so soon after our new presence in the town.
“We do support a number of arts events around the region as well as charities, sports and business organisations.
“This is a particularly important year for us as we are approaching our target of raising £150,000 for local good causes to commemorate the firm’s 150th anniversary in 2008.”
