SWIMMING pool staff stepped back in time to celebrate the it’s 25th anniversary in style.

Workers at Mid Suffolk Leisure Centre, in Stowmarket, dressed in 1980s attire and played tunes of the time to mark the anniversary of the pool opening.

A number of staff involved in the celebration will also be marking their own anniversary, after clocking up 25 years working at the leisure centre, now managed by Everyone Active.

Ron Pattle, councillor at the time and proposer of the swimming pool, was there to officially re-open the swimming pool on Sunday, alongside general manager, Anselm Gurney.

Visitors, customers and swimmers also enjoyed the celebrations which included charging 1980s prices for entry to the swimming pool – 65p for adults and 35p for children.
