THE Suffolk Owl Sanctuary is hosting a Wild Weekend for youngsters with a taste of adventure and the great outdoors.
Highlights at the event on January 7 and 8 will include hands-on activities staged by Mid Suffolk Countryside Rangers and workshops by the Woodland Trust.
There will be illustrated talks by a scientist from the British Antarctic Survey Team and an explorer who ventured to the North Pole.
Reptile handling will be on offer as well as demonstrations by the Suffolk Bat Group and the chance to meet owls and other birds of prey with a flying display at 1pm each day.
The event runs from 10am to 4pm on both days at the sanctuary in Stonham Barns, Pettaugh Road, Stonham Aspal.
