MORE than 250 vintage, classic and sports cars will be driving into Fornham for a special charity event next month.

The second Classic Sports Cars by the Lake will be held at Hall Farm on September 11 to raise vital funds for St Nicholas Hospice Care, in Bury St Edmunds.

The event, hosted by Andrew and Gina Long and the hospice special events committee, offers a fun-filled family day out in a beautiful countryside setting.

As well as cars – including a number of particularly special models – there will also be live music, craft stalls, children’s activities and a climbing wall to entertain people of every age. Visitors can take picnics or get refreshments from the Suffolk food hall, bar or special Greene King area.

Dogs are welcome at the event. The show, supported by Carrs of Bury, runs from 11am to 4.30pm.

Andrew Spencer, managing director of Carrs, said: “The hospice is an extremely worthy cause and in the hearts of everyone in West Suffolk and Thetford.”

Tickets are £6 for adults, £4 for concessions and admission is free for children under five. Tickets are available from Carrs, Bury Tourist Information Centre or on the gate.
