Too little, too late?

In response to Paul Hopfensperger's announcement that he has quit the Tories to uphold his principles, I would like to say what 'Hop'wash!
Would he really have us believe he was forced to vote for the closure of middle schools? Did someone have a gun to his head as he pressed the yes button? Of course not.

Politicians should stand up for what they believe in, regardless of whether such action jeopardises their future political career.

Perhaps Cllr Hopfensperger just needs to accept that he had his chance and blew it. He's just another nail in the coffin of local middle schools and no amount of bleating post event will have us believe otherwise.

A case of too little, too late methinks.
